GEW hosts education projects at The Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Chiba University. The graduate students can be involved in the project and get credit for this. GEW publishes a journal “Journal on Public Affairs” which reports of this project.
In the 2012 academic year, there were three projects as follows:
1. Developing Public Research
- Manager: Prof. Masaya Kobayashi
- Period: From 2012 to 2013 academic year (1 year)
- Report: Outcomes will be published in “Journal on Public Affairs”
- Research Plan: From the perspective of public affairs, the research will progress based on the main themes raised by the faculty members and graduate students. Through discussing each research theme, students will write an academic paper and publish it.
2. Research Development concerning “The Social Nature for Modern Companies” based on research on Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR)
- Manager: Prof. Hiroshi Matsuno
- Period: From 2012 to 2013 academic year (1 year)
- Report: Outcomes will be published in “Journal on Public Affairs”
- Research Plan: To develop research on “the social nature for modern companies” (such as management principles, management policy, and management strategy) based on the interest of the faculty members and graduate students. Though discussing each research theme, students will write an academic paper and publish it
3. Read the Times -Globalization and Global Governance
- Manager: Prof. Tsai Mon-Han
- Period: From 2012 to 2013 academic year (1 year)
- Report: Outcomes will be published in “Journal on Public Affairs”
- Research Plan: To investigate the phenomena of globalization and global governance as they are happening in the present world, by reading major newspapers from around the world and weekly-magazines. On the latter half of this project, students will try to understand the phenomena more deeply by sharing their awareness of these issues with other graduate students.
